St Jacques Dressage
A premier dressage training program for young horses, problem horses, beginner to advanced riders, and eventers working towards improving their dressage scores. Robert and Chelsea are dedicated to bringing riders and their horses to the next level.
ROBERT ST JACQUES
Robert's professional career began with a hammer, building a world-class equestrian facility alongside his father in Montreal, Canada. He is a graduate of Dawson College in Montreal and obtained his B.S. in Aviation Management from Bridgewater State University. He is an avid pilot and equestrian. Robert comes from a family of equestrians who have all excelled in the sport.
From his training with Michael Poulin, Pamela Goodrich, Michel Vermeulen and several notable clinicians in his 30 year career, Robert has gone on to train many horses of all breeds at the FEI level. At an early stage in his career, he was forunate to have a horse of a lifetime, Casper (pictured). A borderline unrideable 4-year old with international talent, Robert and Casper taught each other indescribable lessons not only in riding but bonding all the way to Grand Prix.
Although Robert has chosen to forego the show circuit and USDF medals, his ultimate concentration is on his clients' goals and personal learning through the years.
His instructional foundation is forwardness, correctness of seat, precision of aids, and quietness of communication. Robert forms brilliant, enthusiastic, and expressive partnerships with the horses he trains. He strives to bring out the best in both horse and rider.
